Objective of the Programme

The primary objective of the webinar on “AI Revolution in Health Care” was to:

Brief Report of the Event

A webinar on “AI Revolution in Health Care” was held on January 3, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Lecture Hall 1, AIMS, in association with Unidemy Global. The event provided an engaging platform to explore the transformative impact of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in healthcare.

Organizers and Facilitators:

The program was facilitated by:

·         Dr. M.G. Shivaramu: Principal, AIMS, and Dean of Health Sciences (Medical), ACU

·         Dr. Aliya Nusrath: Vice Principal, AIMS

·         Dr. Tejaswi H.L.: Professor and Head of the Department of Anatomy

Keynote Speaker:

The session was led by Mr. Ashok Magadum, an AI Product Manager and Software Engineering Executive, along with his team.

Highlights of the Program:

 Role of AI/ML/Gen AI in Health Care:

• Mr. Magadum discussed the transformative potential of AI, Machine Learning (ML), and Generative AI in advancing healthcare practices and improving patient outcomes.

 AI in Medical Diagnosis and Patient Care:

• Insights into how AI is revolutionizing medical diagnosis and patient care, enabling faster and more accurate outcomes.

 Use Cases of AI in Healthcare Diagnostic Tools and Preventive Care:

• The session showcased practical applications of AI-powered diagnostic tools and preventive systems for early detection and risk management.

 Leveraging AI and Gen AI as a Medical Student and Professional:

• Guidance on integrating AI technologies into medical education and professional practice to enhance learning and patient care delivery.

 Developing Entrepreneurial Mindset and Collaborating with AI Technologists:

• Encouraged participants to adopt entrepreneurial approaches and explore collaborations with AI technologists to foster innovation in healthcare.

Attendance:

The webinar witnessed active participation from 250 medical students and 80+ faculty members across preclinical, paraclinical, and clinical departments.

The program offered valuable insights into the evolving role of AI in healthcare, blending theoretical concepts with practical examples. It inspired attendees to explore the integration of AI in their professional journeys and emphasized its pivotal role in shaping the future of medicine.
