The inaugural function of SANKALP – 2025 Free Plastic Surgery Camp was conducted on 1st December 2025 at BGS Auditorium, B G Nagara, marking the beginning of a compassionate healthcare initiative aimed at providing free reconstructive surgeries for patients suffering from Cleft Lip, Cleft Palate and Post Burns Contractures.
The programme symbolized the institution’s dedication to social responsibility and humanitarian service by extending specialized surgical care to economically underprivileged patients. The camp was organized in collaboration with Rotaplast International, USA , a globally renowned humanitarian organization offering reconstructive surgical care to children and adults in developing nations and Rotary Bangalore North.
 
The function was graced by the presence of honourable Chancellor ACU Paramapoojya Jagadguru Sri Sri Sri Dr Nirmalanandanatha Mahaswamiji, distinguished dignitaries, international plastic surgeons from the United States and renowned academic leaders, making the event highly memorable and meaningful.
 
Programme Objectives 
The objectives of the inauguration function and the Free Plastic Surgery Camp were:
1.To formally launch SANKALP – 2025, a humanitarian initiative for free reconstructive surgeries.
2.To provide high-quality plastic and reconstructive surgical care to patients affected by congenital deformities and burn injuries.
3.To restore dignity, confidence and functionality to patients through corrective surgical procedures.
4.To strengthen international healthcare collaboration with Rotoplast International, USA.
5.To offer exposure to advanced surgical techniques for faculty members and postgraduate students.
6.To create awareness about availability of free plastic surgery services at Adichunchanagiri Hospital.
7.To reinforce the institution’s commitment towards rural healthcare and social upliftment.
 
Inaugural Programme Proceedings
The programme commenced with an introduction highlighting the importance of plastic and reconstructive surgery services at Adichunchanagiri Hospital. The emphasis was laid on the functional, social and psychological benefits achieved through corrective surgeries.

Chief of Hospital, AH & RC, welcomed the gathering and expressed gratitude to Rotaplast International, USA for extending their goodwill and professional expertise.
 
The inaugural ceremony included the felicitation of a team of 30 medical professionals from Rotaplast International, USA as a mark of respect and gratitude.

Paramapoojya Jagadguru Sri Sri Sri Dr. Nirmalandanatha Mahaswamiji,
Hon’ble Chancellor, Adichunchanagiri University, who delivered Ashirvachanam and inspired the gathering by emphasizing that compassionate service is the highest form of worship.
