Hair Restoration CME and Live Surgical Workshop was organized by *Department of plastic aesthetic and reconstructive surgery, in association with Department of Dermatology, AIMS* on 15/07/2025 at Global broadcasting centre, AIMS* *with live streaming of surgeries from Operation theatre complex, AH & RC* (workshop live Relay), BG nagara*
 
The inaugural session was presided by Dr. M.G. Shivaramu, Dean, Faculty of Medicine, ACU and Principal, AIMS, Vice Principal, AIMS, Dr Naveen N, Professor in Plastic surgery, Dr Yogesh D, Professor & HoD, Dept of Dermatology and the resource faculty Dr. Kamal Kumar M, consultant plastic surgeon, Dr. Mithila Ravindranath, Consultant dermatologist and Dr. Vivekananda Ittigi. consultant dermatologist.
 
The objective of the programme was to enhance clinical understanding of androgenetic alopecia through comprehensive training in diagnostic approaches, medical and surgical hair restoration options, and safe practices based on established guidelines for hair transplant surgery. 
 
*Alumni of the institution Dr. Kamal Kumar M, consultant plastic surgeon and Dr. Mithila Ravindranath*, Consultant dermatologist were the resource faculty and delivered presentations, prior to the live relay of the surgeries. 
 
Live Operative Workshop from the Major OT Complex, was broadcast live to the CME venue. The operating surgeon Dr Kamal Kumar M performed hair transplant surgery on a patient with frontal baldness. Preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative precautions and complications were explained. Hair grafts were harvested as planned and Follicular Unit Extraction technique was demonstrated, as it was the procedure of choice for the patient’s characteristics. The surgery went smoothly; *930 Hair Grafts were harvested and transplanted successfully*.
The surgery was followed by a panel discussion on the surgical procedures. 
 
The programme was attended by 140 delegates including faculty,  postgraduates & interns.
The CME and live surgical workshop enriched postgraduate learning through theoretical and practical insights, promoted interdisciplinary collaboration, and emphasized ethical, patient-centered care in trichology and aesthetic surgery.
