“The Vyasana Mukta Dinacharane” (Addiction Free Day) Awareness program 01/08/2025
Conference Hall, Tehsildar office Nagamagala Office of Taluk administration, Nagamangala and Taluk Health office, Nagamangala has organized “Vyasana Mukta Dinacharane” (Addiction Free Day) conducted on 1st August 2025 at the Conference Hall, Tehsildar office, Nagamangala.
 
Dr.Narayan, Taluk Health Officer Nagamangala, Shri Adarsha G, Tehsildar, Nagamangala Taluk, Dr Krishnamurthy, CDPO Officer , Nagamangala, Mr. Bharath Bhushan M.N., Consultant Psychiatric Social Worker, Department of Psychiatry, AIMS were the chief guests for the program.
 
Objective of the Event: 
  • To raise awareness among youths about the harmful physical, psychological, and social consequences of substance use
  • To encourage adolescents to adopt healthy lifestyles and coping mechanisms
  • To promote healthy coping strategies and life skills that help resist peer pressure and reduce the likelihood of substance experimentation or dependence
 
Brief Description of the Event: 
“The Vyasana Mukta Dinacharane” (Addiction Free Day) event was organised by office of Taluk administration Nagamangala and Taluk Health office, Nagamangala. The program was successfully conducted on 1st August 2025, from 10:00 am to 01:00 pm at the Conference Hall, Tehsildar office, Nagamangala
 
The program was initiated by the Tehsildar of Nagamangala Taluk. This meaningful celebration marked the birth anniversary of the revered Dr. Mahanta Shivayogi Mahaswamiji.
 
The guest speaker for the event was Mr. Bharath Bhushan M.N., Consultant Psychiatric Social Worker, Department of Psychiatry, addressed college students and government officers regarding “Substance Use and its Consequences”. He has shared valuable insight on the causes of substance use, including peer pressure, emotional struggles, and lack of awareness. He has also explained how to identify individuals who might be using substances, emphasizing the importance of noticing early signs and offering help without judgment. He has also discussed about the harmful effects of substances on both physical and mental health.
The program was concluded with vote of thanks.
 
Outcomes of the Event: 
  • College students and government officers were actively participated and interacted in the session and it increased awareness among students.
