Brief report of the event (in about 200 words)

On account of National Forensic Medicine Day, the Department of Forensic Medicine & Toxicology organized an engaging quiz competition aimed at enhancing students’ understanding of forensic medicine and toxicology and their pivotal roles in the criminal justice system. Session started with an introductory briefing by Dr. Vijay Kumar A G, Professor and Head of the Department of Forensic Medicine. He elaborated on the significance of forensic medicine and toxicology in contemporary medico-legal practice and criminal investigations. Dr. Chinmayi Yelauri, Associate Professor was the quiz master, questions involved around basic understanding in the subject and sensational cases, landmark judgments and historic relevance of forensic medicine.The event offered students a platform to explore these critical areas more deeply and develop a greater appreciation for their role in the justice system. All the students participated with greater enthusiasm. The event concluded with the distribution of prizes to the winners, acknowledging their exceptional performance and dedication. The program ended with the vote of thanks rendered by Mrs. Rakshitha B M Department of Forensic medicine & Toxicology.
