The Departments of Anaesthesiology and Critical Care Medicine, in collaboration with the Skill and Simulation Centre, Adichunchanagiri Institute of Medical Sciences (AIMS), organized a two-day Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) Workshop for postgraduate students on 29th and 30th December 2025 at the AIMS GBC and Skill & Simulation Centre. The workshop aimed at enhancing theoretical knowledge and practical skills in emergency resuscitation through structured lectures, interactive discussions, and simulation-based training.

 **Dignitaries and Faculty**
The workshop was inaugurated by **Dr. Ravi K. S., Vice Principal, AH&RC**. Faculty members from Anaesthesiology, Critical Care Medicine, General Medicine, and Obstetrics & Gynecology coordinated and conducted the sessions.

 **Objectives**
* To enhance emergency care skills in BLS and ACLS
* To improve preparedness for life-threatening situations
* To promote teamwork through simulation-based training

**Brief Description**
The workshop was attended by **90 postgraduate students** from various departments.
**Day 1** included interactive lectures and demonstrations on Adult and Pediatric BLS, BLS in pregnancy, choking management, opioid overdose, ACLS overview, acute stroke management, and ACLS algorithms.
**Day 2** focused on hands-on skill training, including high-quality CPR, AED usage, airway management, emergency drug administration, and ACLS simulations for cardiac emergencies and stroke. Pre- and post-tests assessed learning outcomes.

 **Key Outcomes**
Participants showed improved competence and confidence in managing emergencies, enhanced interdisciplinary teamwork, and positive feedback on the simulation-based learning approach.
