Faculty as Resource Person - Adichunchanagiri Institute of Medical Sciences

Dr. Vijay Shankar S, Professor, Department of Pathology, Adichunchanagiri Institute of Medical Sciences (AIMS), Adichunchanagiri University, was invited to participate as a resource person in a Faculty Development Program. The workshop, titled “Mastering Competence: A Workshop on Entrustable Professional Activities,” which was organized by the Medical Education Unit (MEU) at K.S. Hegde Medical Academy, Nitte (Deemed to be University), on 1st August 2024.

The Faculty Development Program focused on enhancing the skills and knowledge of faculty members regarding Entrustable Professional Activities (EPAs).

Dr. Vijay Shankar S was one of the resource persons for the event, delivering presentation on the following topic: Elevating Expertise: Crafting Entrustable Professional Activities

This presentation emphasized the importance of crafting Entrustable Professional Activities effectively, in medical education to ensure that students gain the necessary competencies required in their professional careers. Hands-on activity was also included in the session.

The other faculty members included Dr Reshma Kini and Dr Nisha Marla from Father Muller Medical College along with Dr Kishan Prasad, Dr Ankeeta and Dr Carol from KSHEMA, Mangalore
