The fourth Townhall Meeting organized by IQAC–AIMS was held on 03/02/2026 at AIMS Lecture Hall-1 with the theme Vision 2026 of AIMS and was attended by over 150 faculty members. The session was chaired by Dr. M. G. Shivaramu, Dean, Faculty of Medical & Allied Health Sciences (Medical), ACU. The meeting commenced with a welcome and agenda setting by Dr. Aliya Nusrath, Vice Principal, AIMS.
The Vision 2026 roadmap highlighted expansion of DM Nephrology, increase in PG seats, and development of comprehensive cancer care services. Deliberations focused on performance-based faculty appraisal, systematic documentation of teaching–learning, research, FDPs, and administrative responsibilities, along with enhanced research support and defined scholarly outcomes.
The importance of professional conduct, workplace ethics, student mentoring, alumni engagement, effective utilization of the Skill and Simulation Centre, and preparedness for AAA, NABH, and NABL accreditations was emphasized. Faculty and students were encouraged to actively participate in Vijnatham Utsav 2026 and ensure regular conduct of coordinators’ meetings.
Outcome of the Meeting: Faculty members were sensitized to their roles and responsibilities in strengthening academic excellence, enhancing research productivity, and expanding outreach and extension activities, thereby contributing meaningfully to the vision and mission of AIMS.
