Roleplay Competition on the occasion of World AMR Awareness Week (WAAW)

The **Department of Microbiology**, in association with the **AIMS Student Council**, conducted a **Roleplay Competition** on *18.11.2025* on the occasion of **World AMR Awareness Week (WAAW)**, observed from *18th to 24th November 2025*, with the theme **“Act Now: Protect Our Present, Secure Our Future.”**
 
 *Objective:*
The objective of the event was to create awareness among the public, medical, allied health sciences, nursing students, and healthcare workers about the growing crisis of antimicrobial resistance (AMR), and to promote responsible and judicious antibiotic usage.
 
A total of **six teams**, comprising **42 students**, actively participated in the roleplay competition.
 
*Outcome:*
The session’s objective was successfully achieved. The roleplay effectively raised critical awareness about the threats posed by Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR). The active involvement of students enhanced their knowledge, communication skills, and understanding of Antimicrobial Stewardship (AMS). The initiative played a significant role in shaping them into informed and responsible future healthcare advocates.
