Panelist Participation at NAPCON 2025 – Jaipur

As a panelist, Dr. Chirag K C contributed to the expert discussion on *“Tuberculosis & Comorbidities: Clinical Impact”* conducted on 1 *6th November 2025, from 09:45 AM to 10:15 AM, at Dr. K J R Murthy Memorial Hall as part of a National Faculty Panel Discussion.* The session was moderated by Dr. Surya Kant Tripathi and featured eminent pulmonologists from leading institutions across the country. The discussion highlighted evidence-based strategies for managing tuberculosis in patients with chronic comorbidities such as diabetes, liver disease, CKD, COPD, and immunosuppression.
 
The scientific deliberations emphasized early risk stratification, personalized ATT regimens, and careful monitoring for drug-induced hepatotoxicity. Challenges such as delayed diagnosis, polypharmacy, and poor baseline fitness were also addressed. The panel further explored national guideline–based approaches to MDR-TB management, stressing the importance of DST-guided therapy in complex clinical scenarios.
 
Participation in NAPCON 2025 enabled Dr. Chirag K C to actively engage with national experts in respiratory medicine, contributing to a high-impact academic platform attended by clinicians, residents, and researchers. The event enhanced the academic visibility of AIMS and strengthened collaborations for future multicentric research initiatives. It also provided valuable insights into TB–comorbidity interactions, contributing to national-level discussions on improving tuberculosis care pathways and shaping strategies for better clinical outcomes.
