Workshop on “USG in Obstetrics & Basic Genetics” - Adichunchanagiri Institute of Medical Sciences

Advancing knowledge in Obstetric Ultrasound and Genetics for better maternal and fetal care. 👶🩺

The Department of Obstetrics & Gynaecology, Adichunchanagiri Institute of Medical Sciences (AIMS) in association with Mandya Obstetrics and Gynaecological Society successfully conducted a Workshop on “USG in Obstetrics & Basic Genetics” on 6th March 2026 at GBC Auditorium, AIMS, B.G. Nagara under the guidance of organising chairperson Dr Mahendra G,HOD Dept of obstetrics and gynaecology.

The workshop was graciously inaugrated in presence of our Respected vice principal ,Dr Aliya nusrath Mam ,marking the commencement of the workshop activities.

The workshop featured insightful academic sessions and live demonstrations by Dr. Sreelakshmi Kodandapani, who delivered lectures on Fundamentals of NT Scan and Fetal Echo & Basic Genetics, along with hands-on ultrasound demonstrations including NT scan, fetal Doppler, and anomaly scan.

An engaging talk “Was it Noise then? Is it Sound now? – A Bat’s Eye View of Obstetrics” was delivered by Dr. Ramesh Babu S and chaired by Dr. Mamatha K, with faculty support from Dr. Nirmala D.

The NT scan session was moderated by Dr. Mamatha M. G and Dr. Shilpa M. N, while Dr. Pooja Bhat and Dr. Manohar R supported the genetics session.
