Dr. Shilpashree Y. D, Associate Professor, delivered a compelling oral presentation on the *Impact of thyroid dysfunction on lipoprotein ratios and glycaemic control in diabetes patients.* Similarly, Dr. Namitha D, Associate Professor, presented her research on cardiovascular risk evaluation in *Type 2 diabetes patients, focusing on anthropometric measures, lipid profiles, and apolipoproteins.*
These presentations were part of the 31st Annual Conference of the Association of Medical Biochemists of India (AMBICON 2024), themed “Through the Lens of a Biochemist: Advancing Medicine, Breakthrough Innovations.” The event, hosted by the Gujarat Chapter of the Association of Medical Biochemists of India (AMBI), brought together over 500 delegates, including researchers, healthcare professionals, and academicians from across the country and abroad.
The conference served as an excellent platform for advancing medical education and research in biochemistry, fostering collaborative efforts, and generating innovative solutions for contemporary healthcare challenges.
