Integrated teaching programme on “Tuberculosis” was conducted for MBBS 2022 CBME batch students on 26.09.2024 from 11.00 am to 01.00 pm in the Lecture Hall 3. Dr. Sujith Pavan, Assistant Professor of Microbiology welcomed the gathering and anchored the programme. Dr. Roopashree S, Senior Resident of Microbiology briefed the “Structure and antigenic characteristic of Mycobacterium tuberculosis”. Dr. Nanjundaswamy D, Associate Professor of Pathology explained about “Pathogenesis of Tuberculosis”. Dr. Divakar Gowda C P, Assistant Professor of Medicine discussed about the “Clinical manifestations and complications of Tuberculosis”. Dr. Roopashree S, Senior Resident of Microbiology discussed the “Laboratory
diagnosis of Tuberculosis”. Dr. Ravi Mundugaru, Associate Professor of Pharmacology briefed about “Treatment of Tuberculosis” and newer drugs available. Dr. Varsha G, Senior Resident of Community Medicine stressed upon the “Preventive aspects of Tuberculosis and elaborated on National Tuberculosis Elimination Programme”. All faculty members & 220 students attended the programme. The session was concluded with vote of thanks. Feedback on the programme was taken using google forms.
