Objective/s of the events

The primary objective of the event was to introduce and provide an overview of the DigiMed certificate course to the MBBS students.

Brief report of the event (in about 200 words)

The programme commenced with an invocation song, followed by the formal inauguration of the event. The inauguration was presided over by Dr. MG Shivaramu, Dean of Medical and Allied Health Sciences, Adichunchanagiri University; Dr. ES Chakravarthy, Advisor, ACU; Dr. B.N. Shoba, Principal of BGSIT; Dr. Ramesh, Dean of Academics; along with the Deans, HODs, and faculty members from various constituent colleges of ACU.

Dr. Kusuma K.N., Student Support Cell Coordinator, welcomed the gathering, after which addresses were delivered by Dr. MG Shivaramu, Dr. B.N. Shoba, and Dr. Ramesh.

Dr. ES Chakravarthy delivered the keynote address, emphasizing the significance of technology in modern healthcare. He highlighted how the integration of digital tools and resources is becoming essential for future medical professionals to enhance their clinical knowledge, diagnostic skills, and patient care. Dr. Chakravarthy also elaborated on the rationale behind the DigiMed course, stressing its role in bridging the gap between traditional medical education and the rapidly evolving digital healthcare landscape.

A total of 250 MBBS students attended the programme, and feedback from the students was overwhelmingly positive. The event was a resounding success, leaving a lasting impact on the attendees with its enriching content and empowering messages. It served as an inspiring occasion for the future medical professionals of AIMS, BG Nagara.
