Brief Report of the Event (in about 200 words) |
The Department of Clinical Psychology proudly participated in Scintilla 2025, a prestigious national conference hosted by the School of Social Work, Roshni Nilaya, Mangalore, on February 21–22, 2025. Centered around the theme “Crafting Reality with the Mind’s Eye,” the event brought together students, researchers, and professionals to exchange knowledge and ideas in the field of psychology.
Dr. Neha Farheen Mushtaq, Associate Professor in the Department of Clinical Psychology, presented a scientific paper titled “Sensory Processing in Schizophrenia: Understanding Altered Perception.” Her presentation provided deep insights into sensory gating and predictive processing deficits, highlighting the neurocognitive underpinnings of altered sensory experiences in schizophrenia.
Students from the department also actively participated in various competitions. Yuvashri P. took part in Mentalist and Solista, while Venkatesh Prajwal B.A. competed in Mentalist and Capture. S.M. Samrudhi participated in Mentalist and Captura, winning the Captura event alongside Prajwal.
Scintilla 2025 was not just a conference, but a celebration of academic excellence, creativity, and collaborative learning. The Department of Clinical Psychology takes pride in the remarkable achievements of its faculty and students, reaffirming its commitment to fostering research, innovation, and holistic development in the field of mental health. |
