The Dept. of Biochemistry conducted the Inauguration and Orientation program of the “Certificate Course on Nutrition in Diabetes” on 9th August 2023 at MEU Hall from 10 am to 11 am.
The objective of the programme was sensitization of the certificate course content to the enrolled participants.
The programme was inaugurated by seeking the blessings of the Almighty by rendering the invocation song by Ms. Arya Shankar Jha (I MBBS student) and watering the Holy Basil.
The Programme was presided by Dr. M.G. Shivaramu, Principal, Dean (Health Sciences), AIMS and delivered the key note address. Course Director, Dr. Aliya Nusrath, Vice-Principal and Head, of the Department delivered the Welcome Address and gave an insight on the course scope & objectives. Dr. Shilpashree Y D, Associate Professor, Dept. of Biochemistry & course coordinator oriented the participants through the course module.
The programme was moderated by Mrs. Johnsi Priya and Ms. Inchara The programme was witnessed by the other departmental staff and around 30 participants who were enrolled from various sectors of health disciplines.
Outcome of the programme:
- The formal inauguration of the certificate course
- The certificate course participants were sensitized on scope, modular content, teaching learning methods, assessment and grading pattern of the certificate course
