Brief report of the event (in about 200 words)

On 25TH OCTOBER 2024, CME on Labour Analgesia was organized by the Department of Anaesthesiology and the Department of Obstetrics & Gynaecology, Adichunchanagiri Institute of Medical Sciences and Hospital, B G Nagara, in association with Indian Society of Anaesthesiology, Mandya branch and Mandya Obstetrics and Gynaecological Society

Dr. G. L. Ravindra, Chief consultant, Janani Anaesthesia and Critical care services, Shimoga was invited as the Guest Speaker for the CME

The programme was inaugurated by Honorable Chief of Hospital, Dr Shivakumar K M, AH & RC, and was presided by Dr. Harish, Resident Medical Officer, AH & RC, chairpersons Dr. Chethanananda T. N, Professor & HOD, Department of Anaesthesiology,& Dr. Mahendra G, Professor and HOD, Department of OBG, the guest speaker, Dr. G. L. Ravindra and KMC Observer Dr. Tejaswi Prithviraj.  Welcome speech was delivered by the organising chairperson Dr Chethanananda T N, Professor and Head, Dept. of Anaesthesiology.  The Guest speaker was Felicitated by Dr. Shivakumar K M, and the Vote of thanks was rendered by Dr. Mahendra G. The guest speaker delivered lecture on ‘Epidural Analgesia for Labour’. In the second half,  there was a video demonstration on  cases of Epidural Analgesia for Labour by the Guest Speaker.

In total 86 delegates attended this CME satisfactorily. And the programme was in compliance with sustainable developmental goal no. 3, 4, 9, 17.

Feedback Analysis (brief)

The feedback from the workshop was highly positive. Participants expressed satisfaction with the informative sessions, especially the practical case discussions and slide demonstrations. The interactive nature of the event was appreciated, with many attendees highlighting the opportunity to enhance their diagnostic skills. Overall, the workshop was considered beneficial for both learning and professional development.
