World Diabetes Day – 2023

The World Diabetes Day event held in Nagamanagla town on November 17, 2023, was organized by the Department of Community Medicine, NSS AIMS unit, in collaboration with the District Surveillance Unit, Mandya and Adichunchanagiri Arts and Commerce College, Nagamanagala.

The main objective was to raise awareness about diabetes prevention and management. The event featured an Awareness Jatha, with over 500 students actively participating and displaying placards related to diabetes prevention. The procession aimed to sensitize the public about disciplined lifestyles, the importance of controlling diabetes and obesity, and adopting a healthy lifestyle.

The outcome of the event was increased awareness among the Nagamanagala town population, with the active participation of students contributing to the success of the initiative in promoting a healthier community
