The symposium provided an excellent opportunity for AIMS BG Nagar MBBS students to listen to influential personalities and gain insights into subjects beyond their medical curriculum.

Brief report of the event (in about 200 words)

The symposium, BGS TalX Presents: A Symposium of Excellence, was held under the divine blessings of Paramapoojya Jagadguru Padmabhushana Puraskrutha Sri Sri Sri Dr. Balagangadharanatha Mahaswamiji and in the esteemed presence of His Holiness Jagadguru Sri Sri Sri Dr. Nirmalanandanatha Mahaswamiji, Pontiff of Sri Adichunchanagiri Mahasamsthana Math and Honourable Chancellor of Adichunchanagiri University.

The live-streamed event featured distinguished speakers who addressed critical topics on leadership, global perspectives, and personal growth:

  1. Shri Alok Kumar IPS, Additional Director General of Police (ADGP) Training, Karnataka, Bengaluru, spoke on Becoming a Change Agent: Citizenship with Impact”. His session emphasized the importance of responsible citizenship and creating a positive impact in society.
  2. Shri Vikram Vishwanath, Honorary Consulate of the Republic of Peru in Bengaluru, delivered a talk titled “India’s Global Rise: Empowering Youth for a Connected World”. He discussed India’s growing role on the global stage and the pivotal role of youth in shaping the future.
  3. Smt. Ashwini Nachappa, former Indian athlete, Olympian, and Arjuna Awardee, concluded the sessions with a talk on “Sports and Life: Lessons Beyond the Game”. Her personal experiences and valuable life lessons taught the audience the importance of perseverance, discipline, and teamwork.

The symposium provided an excellent opportunity for AIMS BG Nagar MBBS students to listen to influential personalities and gain insights into subjects beyond their medical curriculum. The Student Support Cell coordinated the live-streaming of the event, ensuring that the students could benefit from the session while still being in their academic environment.

The live-stream was accessible via YouTube and Facebook for those unable to attend in person, further expanding the reach of this enlightening event.

The BGS TalX Symposium was a great success, inspiring the students at AIMS BG Nagar with its enriching content and empowering messages, making it an event to remember for all attendees.

The programme was in compliance with sustainable developmental goal no. 3, 4, 5 and 17.
