Objectives of the Event

·        To provide a platform for the Ph.D. scholar to present the completed research work before final thesis submission.

·        To obtain expert evaluation and constructive suggestions from the external examiner.

·        To assess the scientific merit, methodology, and outcomes of the research study.

·        To facilitate academic discussion and critical appraisal of the research findings.

·        To improve the quality of the thesis through scholarly feedback and recommendations.

 

Brief Report of the Event

The Department of Anatomy, Adichunchanagiri Institute of Medical Sciences, organized the Ph.D. Pre-Submission Colloquium of Ms. Sharmadha K. L. (Reg. No. 21PAN001) on 17th June 2026. The scholar presented her doctoral research entitled “Vascular Endothelial Growth Factor (VEGF) and VEGFR Receptor Expression in the Placenta of Gestational Diabetic Women.”

The presentation comprehensively covered the background, objectives, methodology, results, statistical analysis, and conclusions of the study. Dr. Pushpalatha K, the External Examiner, critically reviewed the research work and provided valuable suggestions regarding data interpretation, presentation of results, and strengthening of the discussion section. The session was highly interactive, with active participation from faculty members and research scholars. The scholarly discussions and expert inputs contributed significantly to enhancing the quality of the thesis prior to its final submission.
