Brief report of the event (in about 200 words)

The Phase 2 MBBS Orientation Programme was conducted by the Department of Community Medicine on 28 September 2026 for Phase 2 MBBS students. The programme was organized to familiarize students with the department, academic expectations, curriculum and learning processes in Community Medicine. The session began with an ice-breaking activity conducted by Dr. Lakshmikanth N, Senior Resident, which encouraged interaction and participation among the students. Dr. Madhura M. M., Associate Professor, introduced the faculty members and helped students become familiar with the teaching team.

Dr. Varsha G., Assistant Professor, and Dr. Keerthi, Assistant Professor, explained the goals and objectives of the subject, syllabus, teaching-learning methods and recommended books. Dr. Raghavendra S. K., Professor and Head, briefed the students regarding important rules and regulations to be followed during the course. Dr. Shashikiran M., Professor, introduced the Department of Community Medicine and highlighted its academic and professional relevance. Dr. Sujean J. N. provided orientation regarding attendance requirements. The programme also included interaction between students and faculty, allowing students to clarify their initial academic queries and understand expectations for the Phase 2 MBBS course.
