Brief Report of the Event

The Department of Obstetrics & Gynaecology, Adichunchanagiri Institute of Medical Sciences, in association with the KSOGA Urogynaecology and Midlife Committee, successfully organized the Live Urogynaecology Workshop on 17 July 2026 at the BGS Global Broadcasting Centre, AIMS, B.G. Nagara.

The workshop focused on advancing knowledge and surgical expertise in pelvic floor disorders through live operative demonstrations performed by experienced urogynaecology faculty. Delegates were provided an opportunity to observe various reconstructive pelvic surgeries, including sacrospinous fixation, management of uterovaginal prolapse, apical repair, non-descent vaginal hysterectomy, vesicovaginal fistula repair, and surgery for nulliparous prolapse.

The live surgeries were transmitted in real time with interactive discussions on patient selection, operative planning, surgical techniques, complication management, and postoperative care. Faculty members shared practical tips and evidence-based approaches, thereby enhancing the educational value of the programme.

The workshop received enthusiastic participation from faculty members, practicing clinicians, postgraduate students, and trainees. The event served as an excellent platform for academic exchange, skill enhancement, professional networking, and promotion of quality care in women’s pelvic health.
