The Department of Paediatrics, Adichunchanagiri Institute of Medical Sciences (AIMS), BG Nagara, was represented by Dr. Nandha Kumar V at the 14th Karnataka State Pediatric Infectious Diseases Conference (CoPID-KTK 2026), held from 26th to 28th June 2026 at HIMS, Hassan, Karnataka, and organized by CoPID-KTK & Team IAP Hassan in association with the Indian Academy of Pediatrics (IAP). On 28-06-2026, Dr. Nandha Kumar served as Panelist and Moderator for the session “New Horizons in Paediatric Sepsis Care: What’s New in the 2026 Surviving Sepsis Guidelines?”, held in Hall B from 11:40 AM to 12:00 PM. The session addressed the updated 2026 Surviving Sepsis Campaign guidelines as applied to paediatric practice, covering early recognition of sepsis and septic shock, revised fluid and vasopressor strategies, rational antimicrobial use in critically ill children, and emerging evidence-based approaches to neonatal and paediatric sepsis management. As Panelist and Moderator, Dr. Nandha Kumar guided the scientific discussion, raised clinically relevant questions for the speaker, and helped translate the updated guidelines into practical, actionable points for delegates, while also sharing insights from his own clinical experience. He was formally felicitated by the organizing committee in recognition of his contribution, and the participation strengthened the academic visibility of the Department of Paediatrics, AIMS, at a state-level scientific forum. |
