Brief Report of the Event

Eshika BG and Yashaswini DR, Final Year MBBS students, participated in the UG Surgical Conference – INCISION 2.0, conducted at K.S. Hegde Medical Academy, Mangaluru.

The students achieved Second Place in the UG Debate Competition, competing against delegates from various participating institutions.

As part of the scientific sessions, both students presented academic posters:

• Yashaswini DR presented a poster titled “Primary Malignant Melanoma of the Vagina: Clinical Profile, Diagnosis, and Surgical Management” under the guidance of Dr. Mahendra, Professor and Head, Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecolog and Dr Venkatesh,dept of Surgery.

• Eshika BG presented a poster titled “Cubital Tunnel Syndrome in a 12-Year-Old: A Rare Case” under the guidance of Dr. Faisal Mohiuddin Mulla and Dr. Vishwanath C, Department of Orthopaedics.

In addition to the academic presentations, the delegates actively participated in hands-on workshops and masterclasses on vascular anastomosis, spinal trauma, and airway management, which provided valuable practical exposure and enhanced their understanding of essential surgical skills.

The conference served as an excellent platform for academic learning, professional networking, and skill development, while encouraging undergraduate students to actively engage in surgical education and research.
