The International Men’s Day celebrations were held at AIMS on November 26, 2024, organised by the
Women Empowerment Cell of AIMS in collaboration with gender harassment committee.
The event theme was men’s well-being and mental health, aiming to break stereotypes and promote awareness about the challenges faced by men in today’s society.
The program commenced by a talk by our principal sir Dr. M G Shivaramu. The guest speaker Dr.Padmalakshmi Lokesh, a distinguished clinical psychologist and world record holder, addressed critical issues related to men’s emotional well-being and the importance of seeking help when needed.
As part of the celebrations, An Ethnic Wear Competition and a Cooking Without Fire Competition was held demonstrating the creativity and culinary skills of the faculty, fostering camaraderie and enthusiasm.
Around 250 undergraduate students attended the event which turned out to be an enriching experience combining entertainment with meaningful engagement.
The objectives aimed at emphasized the importance of acknowledging and addressing mental health issues inspiring them to challenge societal norms and promote mental well-being.
