An interactive session was conducted with approximately 30 10th-standard students. The students were introduced to various medical specialties and different organ systems and their roles in community service were discussed. Case scenarios related to diarrhoea, snake bite, fracture following a fall, myopia and epistaxis were given to the students in five groups. They discussed the management and prevention of the cases and presented their views enthusiastically. A visit was also made to the nearby PHC, where the students were taken through the consultation room, pharmacy, laboratory, minor OT, labour room, immunization room and cold-chain equipment.
