18.	Brief Proceedings / Event Summary	The event began at 12.30 p.m. in the presence of the Principal, and Vice Principals of AIMS, in the AIMS quadrangle, in attendance of students from all batches. The event started off with the grand entrance of the star of our Onam Celebrations, King Mavelli, and then lighting of the lamp followed by the invocation prayer, the Principal, Dr. K M Shivakumar’s speech and the Vice Principal, Dr. Aliya Nusrath’s speech. The event comprised of cultural events which included a traditional Onam dance, Thiruvathira, Duet and Solo Singing, an instrumental number and a dance perfomance done by the malayalee students. This was followed by a Special Onam Lunch, called as Sadhya, after which the students involved in games together.
