Brief Report of the Event   

Chanikya Sri Manjunadha Reddy, Phase III (Part-1), 6th Termparticipated in the Case Presentation Competition held at Government Stanley Medical College. He presented in the

Pediatrics category,  on the topic of “When a Vitamin Deficiency Mimics Cardiac Catastrophe” under the guidance of Dr. Nandha Kumar V.

The abstract for the presentation was submitted on 3rd June, 2026 and was selected on 13th June, 2026 among 9 competing teams in the Pediatrics category. The presentation was delivered on 17th  June, 2026 for a duration of 10 minutes, which included an a PowerPoint presentation followed by a question-and-answer session with the judges. 

The presentation received positive feedback from both the judges and the audience, being commented for a good performance despite being a first time participant. Overall, the event provided valuable academic exposure, enhanced presentation skills, and encouraged case based learning among the participants

Feedback analysis (brief)  

The Case Presentation was well organized and academically enriching. It provided a great platform for knowledge sharing, academic discussion and widened the scope of medical research. The judging and interactions were constructive and motivating, making the event a valuable learning experience. Participants found the event informative, engaging, and beneficial for academic learning and competitive preparation. Overall, the event was considered successful and enriching by the attend.

•        The event enhanced students’ understanding of conditions associated with Thiamine deficiency and its relevance to infant health along with presentation skills, and boosted confidence through academic interaction.  

•        Enhanced clinical reasoning, diagnostic approach, and problem-solving skills.  

•        Encouraged teamwork, confidence, and healthy academic competition among students.  

•        Promoted integration of theoretical knowledge with practical clinical application.  

•        Provided an enriching and interactive learning experience for all participants.
