1. To raise awareness about rabies prevention and control
2. under the “One Health, Zero Rabies” approach.
3. To foster inter-professional collaboration and knowledge sharing among medical and veterinary students.

Brief Report of the Event

Mr. Kishan Kumar Sagar and Mr. Nithyananda.K,representing Phase 3 Part 2, Batch 2023, actively participated in the State Level Rabies Quiz held on 28th September 2026. The preliminary screening round was conducted online. Despite competitive participation, the team couldn’t qualify for the final rounds held at the A V Rama Rao Auditorium, IISc.

Feedback Analysis (Brief)

The online preliminary format was smooth and provided an engaging platform to test knowledge on zoonotic diseases and rabies management.

Enhanced understanding of clinical and public health aspects of rabies, strengthening awareness of interdisciplinary One Health initiatives.

Challenges Faced

High competition levels during the online preliminary round made it difficult to clear the cut-off for the offline finals at IISc.

Recommendations

Increase focused preparation on cross-disciplinary guidelines (combining human medicine and veterinary protocols regarding rabies prophylaxis) for future inter-collegiate quizzes.
