Doctors Day Celebrations - 2024 - Adichunchanagiri Institute of Medical Sciences

AIMS Doctors club and AIMS Kannada Balaga jointly organised the ‘Thanksgiving ceremony’ on the occasion of Doctors day held on 31st July, 2024. The program was inaugurated by Honourable Vice Chancellor of Adichunchanagiri University, Dr. M.A. Shekar. The dignatories present alongside were Dr. C.K.Subbaraya, Registrar, ACU, Dr. M.G. Shivaramu, Principal, AIMS and Dean (Health Sciences- Medical), ACU, Dr. Shobha.B.N, Principal of BGSIT, Dr. Shwetha.H.N, Principal of Adichunchanagiri School of Natural Sciences and Dr. Mahendrappa.K.B, President of Doctors club. Dr. Chethan Anand.T.N, secretary of Doctors club welcomed the gathering while Dr. Impana.M rendered an invocation song.

In his Inaugural address, Dr.M.A.Shekar briefed on the history of the celebration of National Doctors Day. Dr. Subbaraya.C.K conveyed how indebted he is to Doctors in general and Dr. Shobha.B.N heaped praises on the Doctors community. Dr. Shwetha.H.N shared her gratitude to doctors along with the experiences from her life. Two senior doctors from the institute were felicitated for their commitment and contribution as a medical professional. The recipients were Dr. Inbanathan.J, Professor and Head of General Medicine and Dr. Mahendrappa.K.B, Professor and Head of Pediatrics. This was followed by distribution of trophies and certificates to participants of the cultural program held during NAAC Peer team visit and accreditation process. Overall compering was done by Dr. Arpitha.G.S, Intern.

Closing remarks and vote of thanks was proposed by Dr.M.G. Shivaramu who is also Honorary president of Kannada Balaga. The stage program was followed by a grand lunch arranged for all the faculty, postgraduate students and Interns at Multiutility hall, opposite Kalpataru Bhavana.
