It is a moment of pride for Adichunchanagiri Institute of Medical Sciences (AIMS) that the Phase 3, Part 1 MBBS students won the *Second Prize* in the University-level cultural competition organised as part of the *79th Independence Day celebrations* at ACU Stadium on 15th August 2025.
The team presented a captivating dance–drama titled *“A Tribute to Veera Sangolli Rayanna”.* The performance powerfully portrayed the fearless battles, unwavering spirit, and ultimate sacrifice of the legendary freedom fighter. The act was lauded by the audience for its intensity, creativity, and emotional impact, inspiring deep feelings of pride and patriotism.
The roles were brought to life by the following talented students: *Shrujan J as Sangolli Rayanna, Renuka Sarjapur as Rani Chennamma*, Devanshu Raman as Thakre (British), Dhanraj G. Y as British Judge, Darshan D. S as Minister, Darshan S as Narrator, Disha K. S, Eeksha M. R, Eshika B. G, Maanya Harish, Mansi Ashoka, and Sushma N as Dancers; Gagan S. Kumar and Manoj Kumar N as Rayanna’s Army; Mayur S. Urs, Shivaraj I. Nandi, Tharun C. R, Vinay Patil, and Yashwantha B. K as British Army. Their combined efforts and spirited performances contributed to the overall impact and success of the presentation.
