The *Department of Ophthalmology*, in association with *Sri Adichunchanagiri Institute of Pharmacy and Karnataka Ophthalmic Society*, conducted an interdisciplinary session on the occasion of *Eye Donation Fortnight* on 17th September 2025 at Lecture Hall – 1, AIMS.
 
The program was held under the guidance of Dr. M G Shivaramu, Principal, AIMS & Dean, Health Sciences (Medical), ACU, and graced by Dr. Prakash Goudanavar, Principal and Dean, Sri Adichunchanagiri Institute of Pharmacy, along with Dr. Aliya Nusrath, Vice Principal, AIMS, and senior faculty members.
 
Prize distribution for the quiz and poster competition winners was done by Dr. M G Shivaramu and Dr. Prakash Goudanavar.
• Dr. Rakshitha, First-year JR, delivered a talk on myths and facts about eye donation, encouraging public participation.
• Dr. Sashank, First-year JR, spoke about the burden of corneal blindness globally and in India, and the role of Eye Banks.
• Dr. Aishwarya, Second-year JR, discussed management and prevention of major causes of corneal blindness in India.
 
A *role play* by 6th-term undergraduate students (Batch 2022) highlighted common myths and promoted eye donation and corneal transplantation.
 
*Outcome:*
Participants gained awareness about corneal blindness, eye banking, and preventive strategies, while being motivated to overcome myths surrounding eye donation.
