The BGS Walk for Life – 2025 was successfully organized by *Adichunchanagiri Hospital & Research Center, Adichunchanagiri Institute of Medical Sciences (AIMS) and Adichunchanagiri University (ACU)* on 19th September 2025 in the divine presence of *Paramapoojya Jagadguru Sri Sri Sri Dr. Nirmalanandanatha Mahaswamiji.* The walk aimed to create widespread awareness among the public and community about the *importance of organ donation and transplantation.*
The event was graced by revered spiritual leaders including: *Swasthishree Chaarukeerthi Bhattaraka Mahaswamiji,* Sri Kshetra Shravanabelagola. *Paramapoojya Sri Basavamurthy Madara Channaiah Mahaswamiji,* Chitradurga, *Parampoojya Shivalingananda Mahaswamiji*, Kabirananda Ashrama, Chitradurga, *Paramapoojya Sri Thadyukthanandha Swamiji,* President, Ramakrishna Math, Turuvekere and all Swamijis from the branch math’s of Adichunchanagiri Maha Samsthana Math’s.
Prominent government officials, public representatives and celebrities also attended, including: *Sri N. Chaluvarayaswamy* (Agriculture Minister, GoK), *Dr. M. A. Saleem* (IG DGP, Head of state police force, GoK), *Sri Dhruva Sarja* (Cine Actor), *Dr. Ranganath* (MLA, Kunigal), *Dr. C. N. Balakrishna* (MLA, Channarayapatna), *Sri Ramesh Bandi Siddegowda* (MLA, Srirangapatna), *Sri Sharath Bacchegowda* (MLA, Hoskote), *Sri Prathap Simha* (Ex-MP, Mysuru-Kodagu), *Sri Suresh Gowda* (Ex-MLA, Nagamangala), *Sri Gopal Swamy* (Ex-MLC, Hassan), *Sri Boralingayya* (DIG, Southern Range), *Dr. Kumar* (DC, Mandya), *Sri Malikarjuna Baladandi* (SP, Mandya), *Dr. K. *Event Flow & Participation*
• The *BGS Walkathon (5 km)* commenced at *AIMS Adinatha Road* and concluded at the *ACU Stadium*.
• Refreshments/tiffin were distributed to all participants at the end of the walk.
• The walk witnessed over *12,000 participants,* including faculty, staff and students from all constituent colleges and schools of ACU, ACU officials, Principals, Deans, general public and devotees of the Math.
