Motivational Talk - Adichunchanagiri Institute of Medical Sciences

A motivational talk was conducted for undergraduate medical students on 28 November 2025, organized by the IQAC and Medical Education Unit (MEU) of Adichunchanagiri Institute of Medical Sciences, with the objective of inspiring students to develop professionalism and ethical values in medical practice. The session was delivered by Dr. E. Srinivasa Chakravarthy, Advisor, Mentor and Inspirational Leader. The talk focused on leadership, attitude, and the evolving role of doctors in the modern healthcare system.

During the session, Dr. Chakravarthy explained the deeper meaning of the word “DOCTOR”, highlighting six essential qualities – Digital Quotient, OPD-based Learning, Communication, Trust, Obedience, and Respect — as the foundation of medical professionalism. He emphasized the importance of integrating clinical competence with empathy, discipline, and effective communication.

The program had a positive impact on students by encouraging self-reflection and awareness of professional responsibilities. It reinforced the importance of ethical conduct and interpersonal skills in delivering quality patient care. The session was well received and appreciated by both students and faculty members.
