Objectives of the event

The program aimed to enhance knowledge on benefits of yoga on health, and protocols to be followed while performing Yoga.

Brief Report of the Event

Compering for the program was done by Dr. Divyashree, Assistant Professor in the department of Physiology who welcomed the gathering. Dr. Anand K S S, Professor and Head, Dept. of Physiology, gave the keynote address. The speaker of the program was Dr Veena H.C., Assistant Professor, Dept of Physiology, Hassan Institute of Medical Sciences, Hassan, who briefed about benefits of yoga, its origin and different asanas.  The program was concluded by vote of thanks by Dr. Bhagyashree N, Associate Professor, Department of Physiology.

Feedback was collected from students. They gave positive feedback that the session provided them the benefits of Yoga and they got clear idea of breathing patterns to follow while doing yoga

The outcome of the programme was that the participants gained deeper understanding of Yoga and it’s benefits in health. Students learnt about proper protocol to be followed during yoga.
