REPORT OF BIOCHEMISTRY ORIENTATION PROGRAMME FOR 1st MBBS BATCH -2026–2027

The Department of Biochemistry, AIMS, organized the Orientation Programme for the 1st MBBS students of the 2026–2027 batch on 13th October 2026 at Lecture Hall–1, AIMS.

The programme commenced with an invocation by Mr. Vishnu, 2nd MBBS student and the ceremonial watering of the sacred Tulsi plant. The session was moderated by Ms. Inchara S, Tutor, and Dr. Lavanya BR, Senior Resident. Dr. Johnsi Priya J, Senior Resident, introduced the faculty members.

Dr. Aliya Nusrath, Vice-Principal, Professor and Head, Department of Biochemistry, welcomed the students and highlighted departmental rules and regulations. Dr. Namitha D, Professor, oriented the students regarding the Biochemistry syllabus and teaching–learning methods, while Dr. Rajeshwari A, Professor, explained the prescribed textbooks, practical records, and academic requirements. Dr. Aliya Nusrath also briefed the students on evaluation and assessment procedures.

The programme concluded with group-dynamics activities emphasizing teamwork, communication, and collaboration among peers.

The Department of Biochemistry extends its best wishes to the new batch for a successful and enriching academic journey. 🌟
