Pre-Clinical departments organized “Med Achieve: Celebrating Medical Excellence in Preclinical Subjects” – An award function for academic excellence in all three Pre-Clinical subjects on 27th March 2024 at 10.00 am. The program was presided Dr. MG Shivaramu, Principal AIMS and Dean Health Sciences (Medical) ACU.

The dignitaries were Mr. Umesh B K Registrar, AIMS., Dr. Aliya Nusrath, Vice Principal and HOD, Dept. of Biochemistry, Dr. Sharada M, Professor Dept. of Anatomy, DR. Anand K.S.S., Prof. and HOD, Dept. of Physiology. The program was attended by 1st year and awardees of 2nd year MBBS students and all faculty from preclinical departments. Under Med Achieve, the students of 2022-23 batch were recognized for their Academic Excellence and curricular performance and were awarded. Ms. Ankitha C.L. awarded for outstanding academic performance in pre-clinical subjects.

Mr. Paul Jestin.S, Ms. Chaithali.A.Uppoor, Ms. Sandhya Krishnakumar received Best student award from Anatomy, Physiology & Biochemistry respectively. Other category of awards were distinction, highest marks, highest attendance award and dynamic performer were presented.

In the second part of the program, Guest lecture was presented by Dr. Somashekar A.R., Prof. & Head, Department of Paediatrics, M.S.Ramaiah Medical College & Hospital, MS Ramaiah Nagar, Mathikere, Bengaluru – 570 054 on the topic “Spirituality, mindfulness and resilience”. The guest lecture provided insights in to the understanding how to handle stressful conditions.
