Brief Report of the Event ( in about 200 words)

BGS First Grade College organized an orientation program on 24th july 2026 for its incoming undergraduate students to bridge academic transition with critical social awareness. As part of this initiative, Dr. Vijaya Kumar K S was invited as the expert resource person to deliver a keynote lecture on “Mental Health in Rural India: Challenges and Clinical Solutions.” The program successfully raised awareness, educated students on identifying mental health issues, and discussed actionable clinical and community-driven solutions.

Feedback was collected from students, faculty, and attendees through surveys and informal conversations. • Students: Expressed excitement and motivation after the lecture.
