Brief Report of the Event (About 200 Words) |
The Department of Community Medicine, Adichunchanagiri Institute of Medical Sciences (AIMS), organized a series of Free Health Camps under the Family Adoption Programme (FAP) on 16 June 2026, 23 June 2026, and 30 June 2026 at Kanchanahalli, Kodihalli, and Kuchahalli villages. The camps were conducted with the active participation of faculty members,Postgraduate students, MSWs, medical interns, Phase I MBBS students, and from the Departments of Medicine, Pediatrics, Obstetrics & Gynaecology, and Ophthalmology. Comprehensive health screening services including blood pressure measurement, random blood sugar estimation, height and weight assessment, Body Mass Index (BMI) calculation, medical consultation, and distribution of free medicines were provided. Patients requiring specialized investigations and advanced treatment were referred to Adichunchanagiri Hospital. Health education sessions were also conducted to create awareness regarding preventive healthcare, healthy lifestyle practices, and the availability of healthcare services. A total of 300 beneficiaries availed the services through these camps, making the programme a successful community outreach initiative under the Family Adoption Programme. |
