Department of ORTHOPAEDICS  conducted a Guest lecture on “MIS OF HALLUX VALGUS DEFORMITY OF FOOT BY AIIMS TECHNIQUE on 10th March 2025.
 
The workshop was conducted under the guidance of Dr. M G Shivaramu, Principal AIMS & Dean Health Sciences (Medical), ACU, and graced by the presence of Dr Mahesh D V Professor and HOD, Dr. B.G. Sagar,  Professor, Dr. Harish.K. Professor, Department of  Orthopaedics AIMS.
 
The esteemed guest speaker, Dr Vijaykumar D ,  Consultant in SPARSH hospital Bangalore, provided guidance on utilizing Ultrasonic Bone scalpel for  Correction of Hallux Valgus Deformity of foot. His session covered key statistical concepts, pictorial data, and publications made by him in the various journals .
 
Around 35, postgraduate students and 15 faculty staff members of the Department of orthopaedics from Adichunchanagiri Institute of Medical Sciences attended the programme. 
 
Objectives aimed at introducing a successful MIS surgery AIIMs Technique by using Ultrasonic Bone scalpel in Correcting Hallux valgus deformity of foot.
Outcome of the programme: Participants gained proficiency in using  Ultrasonic Bone Scalpel in correcting Hallux Valgus Deformity of foot. And an eye opening Question answer session between the faculties and students.
