Objectives of the Event

1. To improve understanding of common allergic conditions, including allergic rhinitis, asthma, urticaria, atopic disorders and drug/food allergies.

2.To discuss evidence-based approaches to allergy investigation, including appropriate use and interpretation of allergy testing.

3. Hands on workshop on Skin prick test and Inhale smart.

Brief Report of the Event (within 200 words)

Allery focus 2026 was conducted on 22nd August 2026 at Farookh Academy of Medical Education Hospital & Research Institute (FAMEH & RI), Mysuru. The programme focused on recent advances in the understanding, diagnosis, investigation and management of allergic disorders.

An Academic session on “Allergic rhinitis” was delivered by Dr. Kavitha Prakash Palled.

A Panel discussion on “AFRS unplugged- controversies, consensus and clinical pearls” was delivered by Dr. Divya H R.

An Academic session on “Skin prick test, Allergen immunotherapy and Pediatric asthma ” was delivered by Dr. Thanzeemunissa, Dr. Gayatri S Pandit and Dr. Savitha M R.

An Academic session on “Component resolved diagnostics and Biologics in Allergy” was delivered by Dr. Shruti Manjunath and Dr. Yogeshwar C.

A Panel discussion on “ Allergy arena- challenge and care behind insights” was delivered by Dr. Abhilash S.

The workshop concluded with hands on workshop on skin prick test and Inhale smart by Dr. Abhilash S and Dr. Anjuna P.

We ourselves the delegates second year Postgraduates, Dr. Rakshitha H N, Dr. Megha, Dr. N Jayashree, Dr.Gomathi R and Dr Saarah Taj have attended the event and received the certificates for the same.

Feedback Analysis (Brief)

The workshop received positive feedback from participants for its focused academic content and hands on workshop. Delegates appreciated the opportunity to perform the procedures and interact with expert faculty.

Outcome

The workshop enhanced participants’ understanding of the importance of early recognition, evidence-based management and a multidisciplinary approach in improving patient outcomes and quality of life. Interactive academic sessions and expert discussions provided participants with practical clinical perspectives that could be incorporated into routine practice.
