Faculty Achievement – Recognition & Appreciation: A Proud Moment for AIMS

Adichunchanagiri Institute of Medical Sciences, B G Nagara, congratulates Dr. Shravya Alva, Department of Community Medicine, on her recognition by the IAPSM Karnataka State Chapter for her contribution to the Mobilisation for AIDS Suraksha (MAS) Campaign 2026.

She received the award from IAPSM-KSC President Dr. Sunil Kumar D R at the 6th Karnataka State Conference, IAPSM-KARCON 2026, held on 9th October 2026 at Sri Siddhartha Medical College and Research Hospital, Tumakuru.

The MAS Campaign 2026 was implemented by the Karnataka State AIDS Prevention Society (KSAPS) under NACO’s national initiative, with support from IAPSM Karnataka State Chapter, across 56 medical colleges in the state. Dr. Shravya Alva was named one of the top 6 best-performing MAS Nodal Officers in Karnataka. This reflects her dedication, commitment and leadership in HIV/AIDS awareness activities.

We also appreciate the Department of Community Medicine, led by Dr. Raghavendra S K, for its continued support of public-health outreach.
