Brief Report of the Event

The Department of Anatomy, Adichunchanagiri Institute of Medical Sciences, organized a Guest Lecture titled “Dissection Hall to Distinction: A Guide to Effective Anatomy Exam Preparation” on 17th June 2026 for First Year MBBS students. The session was delivered by Dr. Pushpalatha K, Professor of Anatomy and Dean, IQAC, JSS Medical College, Mysuru.

The lecture focused on effective learning strategies in anatomy, emphasizing the importance of correlating dissection hall experiences with theoretical concepts. The speaker highlighted evidence-based study methods, preparation techniques for theory and practical examinations, revision schedules, and methods to improve long-term retention of anatomical knowledge. Practical tips for approaching spotters, viva voce examinations, and written assessments were discussed in detail.
