To conduct the PhD Open Viva-Voce Defence of Dr. Kusuma K N.

To assess the candidate’s knowledge and understanding of the research work carried out during the PhD programme.


To provide an opportunity for the External Examiner, Research Supervisor, faculty members, research scholars and students to interact with the candidate regarding the research findings.


To evaluate the candidate’s ability to present, interpret and defend the research findings.

Brief Report of the Event

The PhD Open Viva-Voce Defence of Dr. Kusuma K N (Reg. No. 21PPT001) was conducted on 27th July 2026 at BGS Global Broadcasting Centre, AIMS. The programme was attended by the Dean, Dean–Research, Research Supervisor, External Examiner, Head of the Department of Pathology, faculty members, postgraduate students and PhD scholars. Dr. Kusuma K N presented her research work entitled “Study of Expression of Human Epididymis Protein 4 (HE4) in Breast Cancer and Its Correlation with Clinicopathological Factors.” The presentation was followed by an interactive question-and-answer session. The candidate responded confidently and satisfactorily to the questions raised by the Board of Examiners and the audience. The candidate also presented a summary of her research publications and scientific presentations during her PhD tenure. Following the Viva-Voce examination and deliberation, the External Examiner recommended Dr. Kusuma K N for the award of the Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Pathology under the Faculty of Medical & Allied Health Sciences, Adichunchanagiri University.
