*Inauguration of Family Adoption Programme – 2023*

 

On December 29, 2023, the Department of Community Medicine organized the inauguration of the Family Adoption Program in Honnenahalli village, Nagamangala taluk. The event aimed to strengthen the bond between medical students and the community, raising awareness about health aspects, highlighting available health services, and bridging the gap between the community and healthcare.

 

Key individuals, including the Principal of AIMS, the Head of the Department of Community Medicine, the Gram Panchayat President, the PDO officer, Gram Panchayat members, and the Self Help Group President, inaugurated the program in a novel way by watering the plant.

 

The positive outcomes included active student participation, increased understanding of their roles and responsibilities in the Family Adoption Program, and heightened awareness among villagers about available services. The program aligned with Sustainable Development Goals 3, 4, and 17.
