Basic Life Support (BLS) Training Program for Physical Education Teachers

On October 19, 2023, AIMS – Institutional Innovation Council in association with BGS College of Education had organized a Basic Life Support (BLS) training program for 110 Physical Education Teachers affiliated with the Sri Adichunchanagiri Shikshana Trust (R). The program was conducted by esteemed alumnus of AIMS, Major (Dr.) Abhijit Y V (Retd.), who holds degrees in MBBS, MD (Pediatrics), and an MBA in Healthcare Services. He is also a certified PGPN IAP-BLS (Basic Life Support) Instructor.

The training focused on equipping participants with essential life-saving skills, including CPR, rescue breathing, and AED usage. Through hands-on practice and interactive sessions, attendees gained confidence in their ability to respond effectively to medical emergencies. By the end of the program, participants demonstrated proficient knowledge and skills in BLS, significantly enhancing the safety of students in their care.
