VAIDHYOTSAVA

The Doctor’s Day 2026 celebration at Adichunchanagiri Institute of Medical Sciences (AIMS) was held on 8th July 2026 at Lecture Hall 1 under the name “VAIDHYOTSAVA”. The event was organized with great enthusiasm to honour the dedication and service of doctors.

Distinguished dignitaries present included.    

• Dr. S. N. Shridhar, Honourable Vice Chancellor, ACU
• Dr. C. K. Subbaraya, Registrar, ACU
• Dr. M. G. Shivaramu, Principal, AIMS
• Dr. K. M. Shivakumar, Chief of Hospital,AH&RC
• Dr Aliya Nusrath, vice principal AIMS
• K. B. Mahendrappa, Head of Paediatrics and Executive President of the Doctor’s Club.

The dignitaries in their addresses reflected on the immense contributions of Dr. B. C. Roy and emphasized the need for institutional support to ensure doctors maintain a healthy work-life balance.

On the occasion of Doctor’s day two alumni and two senior Doctors of AIMS were felicitated for their selfless contribution and service for humanity. The alumni were

The program saw the participation of around 350 attendees, including junior residents, interns, faculty from various departments, and administrators from the constituent institutions of Adichunchanagiri University.

The session concluded with a brief cultural segment, where a few doctors showcased their musical talents. The programme culminated in a fellowship lunch, offering a relaxed setting for informal interactions and camaraderie among the participants.

The celebration proved to be highly successful and meaningful, helping participants gain practical insights into stress management and lifestyle modifications. It also inspired young medical professionals by highlighting the values and dedication of  Dr. B. C. Roy.
