Objective/s of the events

1. To provide basic health screening and health assessment for school students and staff.

Brief report of the event (in about 200 words)

A Health Checkup Program was conducted at Bakthana School, B.G. Nagara, with the participation of 100 beneficiaries. The programme was organized in association with NSS Unit 1 and NSS Unit 2 and the Community Health Centre, Bellur, with the active involvement of the Department of Community Medicine. The programme was attended by the Head of the School, teachers, students, MSWs Mr. Nagaraj and Mr. Yatish, postgraduates Dr. Sujean J. N. and Dr. Parashuram, interns of the Department of Community Medicine, and Community Health Centre staff. The programme commenced with a briefing on the purpose and importance of health check-ups and preventive health care. School staff were registered and guided through the health assessment process. Basic health screening was carried out by the medical team and Community Health Centre staff. Health education was provided regarding personal hygiene, nutrition, healthy lifestyle, prevention of common illnesses, and the importance of timely medical consultation. Participants requiring further evaluation were advised appropriate follow-up or referral through the Community Health Centre. The programme concluded with interaction with the school authorities and participants and a health-awareness message.

Feedback Analysis (brief)

The programme received positive feedback from the school authorities, teachers, students, and participating staff. The health check-up was considered useful for early identification of health concerns and for improving awareness regarding healthy practices. Participants appreciated the interaction with the medical team and the practical health education provided. The collaboration between the school, NSS units, Community Health Centre, and Department of Community Medicine was also appreciated.

1. Approximately 100 beneficiaries received health screening and health-related guidance.
