The session began with a thought-provoking panel discussion titled “From lab to literature: Unveiling the essence of publishing medical research,” expertly moderated by Dr. Ashakiran S. The panel featured distinguished experts in various fields of medical research and publication, including Dr. Sumathi M E, Dr. Vittal B G, Dr. Priyadarshini K S, Dr. Indumathi V, and Dr. Vidya S Patil. They systematically covered the entire journey of publishing research, from formulating hypotheses to manuscript preparation, journal selection, submission, peer review processes, ethical considerations, and strategies for post-publication promotion.
Following the panel discussion, the conference proceeded with scientific sessions that delved into critical topics in renal health and disease.
Session 1 (9:45 am -10:30 am): Dr. Palaniyamma Durairaj deliberated “Fortifying Kidney Health Through Gut Wellness” with the case report and review evidence. Dr. Suman and Dr. Dhanalakshmi T A chaired the session.
Session 2 (10:30 am -11:15 am): Dr. Niranjan MR presented on “Cracking the Code: Mastering Proteinuria Evaluation and Interpretation”. Dr. Cariappa and Dr. Vanitha Gowda M N chaired the session.
Session 3 (11:30 am -12:15 pm): Dr. Poornima A Manjrekar presented on “Trends in Renal Disease Research”, chaired by Dr. Raghunath H and Dr. Neela Mannangi.
Session 4 (12.15 pm – 1.00 pm): Dr. Shailaja A presented on “Optimising Point of Care Testing in Renal Disease Management Strategies for Accuracy, Quality and Patient Safety”, chaired by Dr. Malathi M and Dr. Priyadarshini
